PROPOSED 20mph SPEED LIMIT around Hayes Schools

Bromley Council Planning is meeting again on 29th Jan to pass or reject this Hayes Village Local Neighbourhood Scheme including the suggested permanent 20mph area and pedestrian crossings around the 2 schools.

If you want action taken to stop speeding traffic through our residential streets, village centres and around our schools then support this proposal by:

1) Telling the Committee you want this and why – questions can be emailed before 15th January to graham.walton@bromley.gov.uk (ref: Environment and Community Services Policy Development and Scrutiny Committee 29th January – Item: Hayes Village Local Neighbourhood Scheme)

2) Emailing your Local Councillors:

Peter.fortune@bromley.gov.uk, Graham.Arthur@bromley.gov.uk and Neil.Reddin@bromley.gov.uk

Individuals can make a difference so if you feel strongly about traffic issues in Hayes then take action now and let the Committee know before the deadline of 15th Jan.

“The Hayes Village Association have discussed this proposal at length and are in favour of the proposal as it stands. We will be writing to the council to make them aware of our support for the scheme and hope that the council give it the go-ahead at their meeting at the end of January.”
