Bromley FC v Chesterfield

Michael Cheek’s double helped Bromley see off winless Chesterfield at Hayes Lane.

Laurence Maguire nearly scored a sensational opener for the Spireites when his speculative cross clipped the crossbar.

And Bromley cashed in on their good fortune midway through the first half when Cheek directed Luke Coulson’s raking cross into the away net.

Chesterfield was determined to end their poor run after the break, but Mike Fondop-Talom’s header dropped just wide.

Liam Mandeville did find an equaliser with a smart volley, only for Bromley to go straight up the end and win the match through a Cheek header that looped over Luke Coddington.
