Dover halted Bromley’s National League promotion push as they inflicted a 3-0 Boxing Day defeat, played in appalling conditions on the south coast.
Heavy rain battered the Crabble Stadium all afternoon and played its part in the game as Ricky Modeste poked home Dover’s opener in the 25th minute after Michael Woods’ shot beat Ryan Huddart but stopped short of the line.
The home side doubled their lead four minutes later as Will de Havilland’s header deflected in off the foot of Frankie Raymond.
Dover remained on top in the second half and Inih Effiong made sure of victory when he fired into an empty net with 15 minutes left following a defensive mix-up.
