Hayes Village Christmas Tree

With the approach of what looks to be an uncertain Christmas for everyone, it has been decided to erect a Christmas Tree in the grounds of the Hayes Village Hall (HVH), in Old Hayes, to help lift the spirits of local residents.  This has been organised by Hayes Village Association, with sponsorship from Dobbies Garden Centre who will be donating the tree.

As it is in the grounds of the Hayes Village Hall, the HVH Management Committee felt this would be a good opportunity to raise some much needed funds and will be selling small natural wood tree hangers to decorate the tree.

It is hoped that people will purchase one or more, decorate and write a message on the reverse: perhaps to remember someone who has passed, or someone they cannot be with this Christmas, or even just a message in general – to the community, NHS, key workers etc.  If people wish they can take the decorations home once Christmas has passed (after 12th night).  They come in three shapes; tree, stocking or bauble and are £1 each and are in cellophane presentation packages to keep them as Covid safe as possible.

It is planned to erect the tree in time for the switching on of the main Hayes Christmas lights and the tags can be hung any time that day or afterwards.
