Dogs, cats, rabbits, rodents, fish and pigs, whatever furry, slimy or adorable animal you call your pet, keeping them cool during the hot weather is essential.

 

With temperatures soaring above 30°C and the heatwave expected to last a little longer, it’s never been more important to keep a close eye on your pets.

If you notice them slowing down or acting dazed, drooling or panting excessively – especially with dogs – it’s a good idea to take them to the vet.

However, don’t panic because a trip to the vet isn’t always necessary, IF you take the right precautions when it comes to keeping your pet safe.
