Hayes Christmas Lights Committee provided another well-run and enjoyable afternoon event culminating with the Christmas Lights being simultaneously turned on in Station Approach and Hayes Street.

There was a good variety of stalls, rides and stage performances from 3:00 pm until the switch on at 5:00 pm.

Stage performances included Pickhurst Infant Academy, Hayes Primary School, Hayes School and students and Temple Academy of Performing Arts.

The Worshipful Mayor of Bromley, Cllr. Mike Botting, accompanied by Mayoress Cllr Kim Botting, switched the lights on to rapturous applause.

If the crowds thronging both the car park of the New Inn and Station Approach itself were anything to go by, this was a great event. Thanks must go to The Christmas Lights Committee for all their hard work over the year raising funds to make this happen. A big thank you to Boots Opticians for providing the funds to have the road closed for this event.
