After 91 years of dedicated service to the local community, the Hayes (Kent) Village Association (HKVA) faces dissolution due to a lack of personnel to sustain its operations. The HKVA Committee has passed a resolution to this effect, and a Special General Meeting (SGM) has been scheduled to ratify the decision:

Date: Thursday, 16th January 2025
Time: 19:30
Venue: Hayes Village Hall

The HKVA has been a cornerstone of community life in Hayes since its founding in 1933, supporting countless initiatives, organising events, and fostering a sense of togetherness among residents. Despite its proud history and the tireless efforts of current and past volunteers, the Association has struggled to attract new members to fill key committee roles, leading to the difficult decision to dissolve.

The SGM is open to all residents and offers an opportunity for the community to formally confirm this resolution. Community members are encouraged to attend and participate in this important discussion about the future of the Association’s legacy.

The HKVA Committee wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed to its success over the past nine decades and acknowledges the profound impact the Association has had on the community.
