The results of the by-election in the Hayes & Coney Hall Ward

In the by-election held in the Hayes and Coney Hall Ward on Thursday 7 December, Councillor Joshua Coldspring-White is duly elected as the new councillor for the ward.

The following votes were cast:

  • Sarah Louise Chant (Green Party) 183 votes
  • Josh Coldspring-White (Local Conservatives) 1,541 votes ELECTED
  • Tudor Griffiths (Liberal Democrats) 526 votes
  • Susan Margaret Moore (Labour Party) 962 votes

The turnout at the by-election was 26.69%

The by-election was called following the sad death of Councillor Andrew Lee recently.

Cllr. Coldspring-White said after his victory “I thank Cllr. Tom Turrell and Kate Lymer for leading my campaign together with all the helpers for all the hard work they put in. I look forward to serving Hayes and Coney Hall Ward although I’m sad that Cllr. Andrew Lee passed away so suddenly.”

Earlier Peter Fortune (London Assembly tweeted, A great result for Josh in Hayes Coney Hall and Keston Bromley – great work by Thomas Turrell and Kate Lymer supporting Josh throughout a fantastic campaign.

Tom Turrell also tweeted, Congratulations Councillor Josh Coldspring-White!! An incredible result, increasing the Conservative vote. Working with Josh over the last few weeks has been such fun and I’m so delighted that with Alexa, we can continue to deliver for Hayes, Coney Hall and Keston.
