The following roads will be closed to through traffic at the times the signs are displayed between 8 am to 6 pm on Sunday 12th May 2024:
Commonside for its entire length Fishponds Road for its entire length.
Please will you arrange for a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order under Section 16A Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to be processed to this effect, commencing at 8 am Sunday 12th May 2024 and ending at 6 pm Sunday 12th May 2024.
Please include the following clause on the Notices for this Order:-
NOTHING in this order shall prevent pedestrian access at any time to any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which the order relates, or to any other premises which are assessable from such a road.
The Order will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 and all subsequent amendments.
Access to properties will be maintained as far as is practicable from either side of the closure as appropriate.

Temporary Traffic Regulation Order – St. Christopher’s Hospice Fun Walk– Sunday 12th May 2024.
To reduce the disruption to traffic likely to be caused by St Christopher’s Fun Walk on Sunday 12th May 2024 and to maintain emergency access and egress routes, it will be necessary to impose the following restrictions:-
“No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait between 08:00 and 18:00 hours on Sunday 12th May 2024 on:-
Heathfield Road between Baston Road and Westerham Road. Baston Road between Heathfield Road and Croydon Road. West Common Road between Heathfield Road and Croydon Road. Baston Manor Road between West Common Road and Croydon Road. Westerham Road, the west side between Fishponds Road and Croydon Road.
“Waiting” means waiting for any purpose including the delivery or collection of goods or merchandise and the loading or unloading of vehicles.
Will you please note that a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order under Section 9 of the London Local Authorities Act 1995 to this effect has been processed (copy attached).
The Notice will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
