Hayes Primary School

Hayes Primary School is situated on the edge of the countryside and is set on extensive grounds; it enjoys all the advantages of a city school whilst retaining its village character. The school prides itself on providing an excellent, broad and balanced curriculum and ensuring high standards in the core subject areas of Reading, Writing and Maths. In our relentless drive for excellence, our aim is that all pupils should develop as effective learners, have excellent social and emotional skills and fulfil their potential.

The age range of the pupils at the school in Bromley is between 4-11 from 644 pupils, 97 of them are aged 11. 45% boys and 55% girls were recorded during the test on the school roll. Hayes Primary School has 56% scoring high scores in key stage 1 while 43% of the students meeting the medium cohort. 1% of the students have shown to score low cohort in the key stage 1. The average score is recorded at 18.3.

Baston House School is an independent day specialist provider of education in Bromley, Kent for children and young people aged from 5 to 19 years who have been diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC).

Pickhurst Academy

They have been designated a National Lead Support School and have been independently reviewed by an OFSTED inspector and accredited outstanding status under the new OFSTED framework. In addition, they have nationally recognised facilitation status for closing the attainment gap between children on the Free School Meals register and their peers.

St Mary’s Pre-School Playgroup

The children of Hayes have been taught at this location for over 200 years.  In the year 1791, Lord Lewisham, then the owner of the great house at Hayes Place, provided property to be a school-house on the site of what is now known as the Old Church School, the home today of the St. Mary’s playgroup and other community groups.
