Plans for the proposed Superloop SL5 route from Bromley to Croydon have officially been confirmed.

The Superloop is a network of express routes in outer London connecting town centres, hospitals, schools, and transport hubs.

It is a “key part” of the Mayor’s commitment to improving the bus network in outer London to maximise the benefits of the London-wide ULEZ expansion.

The SL5 route, which will run from Bromley to Croydon, has received positive feedback with 81 per cent of respondents saying that they thought the proposals for the SL5 would make their journey quicker.

74 per cent of respondents said that a new express bus service would make their journey more convenient and 58 per cent of respondents said they would be likely to use the new express route to replace a journey made by a private car.

Following careful consideration of the feedback, the number of bus stops has been reviewed to help connectivity in local areas.
