TFL travel

If you are travelling this weekend, parts of our network may be busy at times due to events and planned works taking place.

Our TfL Go app can help you plan your journey and show you the quieter times to travel.

The quieter times are:

  • Between 08:15 and 16:00 and after 17:30 on weekdays
  • Before noon and after 18:00 on weekends

If using public transport, travel during quieter times if you can. This will make social distancing easier and help to spread demand.

Please continue to walk or cycle part of your journey where possible.

Our transport network has never been cleaner. You can find out more about what we are doing to keep our services clean.

Thank you for continuing to wear a face covering over your nose and mouth at all times when on the transport network. Please continue to do so unless exempt. Fines of up to £6,400 exist for anyone who does not comply.

Between 4 July 2020 and 7 June 2021:

  • 193,766 people were stopped by TfL enforcement officers, to put masks on before boarding
  • 12,479 people were prevented from boarding and 2,843 were ejected from the service

Please also wash or sanitise your hands before and after travel.

Please remember to always touch in and touch out using a contactless or Oyster card or have a valid ticket for your journey.

Paying your fare contributes to the running and upkeep of our services.
