What does the Hayes (Kent) Village Association do?

The HKVA was founded in 1933 (okay that’s enough of the history!)

What do we do?

• Our committee consists of 10 volunteers, see https://hkva.org.uk/hkva-committee/
• We check planning applications and submit objections as necessary;
• We maintain a website, https://hkva.org.uk
• We belong to the Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) which includes the Met Police, Local Residents’ Associations and Local Councillors, see this article https://hkva.org.uk/safer-neighbourhood-team/and the last report https://hkva.org.uk/safer-neighbourhood-team-snt-meeting-27th-march-2024/
• We are sponsoring the SNT Public Meeting, which we hope to reschedule for this autumn
• We regularly meet with your Local Councillors;

• We send out a weekly newsletter covering local news and featured articles. See https://hkva.org.uk/newsletters-archive/to subscribe;
• We maintain a Facebook Group, https://www.facebook.com/groups/HayesKentVillageAssociationand belong to all Hayes and Coney Hall Facebook Groups
• We maintain a Community Calendar, see https://hkva.org.uk/events2/

• We organise local events such as The Front Garden Competition, Easter Egg Hunt, Quiz Night and Treasure Hunt. We actively support the Hayes Fair and Hayes Christmas Lights Committee with people sitting on their committees and financial support.
